Privacy policy

This page explains what this website collects and why. The Warto app itself has its own privacy information and uploads nothing.

Who is responsible

Hosting

This website runs on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). To deliver the pages, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details. We have a data processing agreement with Cloudflare, which includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure, working website).

Counting visits

When you open the page, the page sends an anonymous count to our own server: the type of event, the time, which of our pages you opened, the domain of the site that linked to us (if any), your country (derived from the connection by our host, Cloudflare), whether you use a phone or a computer, and, if you came from an ad, the campaign and search term from the link. We don't store your IP address, set cookies, use browser storage, or load scripts from Google. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in knowing whether there is interest in Warto).

Cloudflare Web Analytics

The pages also load a small script from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which tells us how many pages were viewed, from which countries, sites, devices, and browsers, and how fast the pages loaded. According to Cloudflare, it doesn't set cookies or collect personal data. Cloudflare processes it under the same data processing agreement as the hosting. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in understanding how people find this website).

Early access list

If you join the early access list, we store your email address, the campaign you came from (if any), the consent text you agreed to, and the time. We use your address only to email you once when Warto is ready. We don't send newsletters or pass your address on. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing hello@wartoapp.com; we then delete your address. Otherwise we delete the list after the launch email has been sent.

Ads

We advertise Warto on Google. If you click an ad, Google adds a click ID to the link. We only use it to see that a visit came from Google. This website doesn't load any Google script.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict the processing of your data, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
